Position - Insurance Consultant

Job Description

Job Duties and Specifications

► Prospect for new group insurance sales.
► Perform prospective sales and renewal presentation meetings.
► Communicate with clients concerning any service issues.
► Utilize software to produce illustrations and perform provider searches.

Education / Experience / Skill Sets

► Insurance knowledge necessary; 2+ year’s carrier or brokerage preferred.
► Industry-related sales experience preferred; some sales experience required.
► Insurance license required (NJ Health & Life).
► Computer and rating software skills needed but will train.
► Individual must comprehend all aspects of basic group benefits insurance.
► Individual must be capable of professionally and accurately communicating with clients.
► Honesty and good character are essential to be successful.

Training and Supervision Provided

► Specifics of group insurance benefit plans, rating and experience factors.
► Advanced client and insurance communication skills.
► Analysis of small and large group benefits packages.
► Education of ancillary coverage(s) and alternative funding methods.
